Did anyone see it? Sarah Palin on the Oprah show? Thoughts?
Loved seeing Trig. Didn't love Oprah's line of questioning on Sarah's pregnancy with Trig. Didn't love Oprah's choice of words when talking about Trig's Down syndrome.
Politics aside, I would actually love to see more of the Palin family and Trig. They look like a really normal, healthy, happy family. Looks like Trig is getting really close to walking! Trig and Joaquin are really close in age so I will always have a fascination in following that cute little boy.
I just read on Yahoo News that Palin's appearance on Oprah's show received the highest ratings since 2007 when the Osmond's appeared on her show. Pretty interesting!

shoot! I knew I'd miss it! But I had a funny feeling Palin was being kind of set up. Oprah wasn't exactly a supporter, still I really wanted to see it.
I missed it! Hopefully it'll end up on the internet at some point. I, too, am fascinated by Trig and hope to see more of him. Doug told me Sarah Palin is coming to Redding sometime soon. I wish it were here!

I saw it. Her son is a cutie. Oprah didn't seem comfortable when she mentioned DS. Almost like she didn't know how to say it. I was a little disappointed in that part of the show. However they did show very cute pics of her son playing and feeding which were positive.
I saw it and even though I'm not a fan of hers politically I feel like I really connected with her when she talked about finding out she was going to have a baby with Down Syndrome. I'm normally a big fan of Oprah, but I too was disappointed that she kept saying "Down Syndrome baby".
I missed it! I don't catch Oprah often. I did see a part of her interview last night with Barbara Walters. I loved seeing him too and plan on following their family the best I can!
I watched the interview. I loved seeing Trig with his family. I wasn't the least bit impressed with Oprah's interviewing skills when talking about Trig. It was quite obvious she was uncomfortable. Someone should have taught her about "people-first language".
I didn't see her on Oprah, but I saw her on 20/20. I was disappointed that Barbra Walters used "Down Syndrome baby" instead of person first language. I will have to catch the Oprah one online (if possible). The clips of Trig were fun to see. He sounded a lot like Courtney did at that age.
First, I want a list of all the therapy that a VP-nominee's child has and will ever receive.
Second, how is it POSSIBLE that the person-first lingo was not there. Was no DS organization involved at all? I find that hard to believe, for Oprah!?
Third, I heard that the rating was "almost" as high as the Osmonds and LAUGHED A LOT. Then was not shocked when she was calling it quits within a short period. If Palin can't beat the Osmonds, what does that say about the audience?
