On February 2nd at 4:59 AM, our third beautiful son Joaquin Andres Sanchez was born. On May 2nd at 4:59 PM, his three month birthday, we learned that Joaquin's cells have the presence of an additional third chromosome 21 or "Trisomy 21" also known as Down syndrome. Join us on our journey as we discover that three is definitely a charm.

I'm BAAAAACK! Aaarrrgggghh!
Here's our little pirate again! At least we are having fun with all the cool patch designs!
Here's the crazy thing....it doesn't bother him in the LEAST bit. Not one bit! He doesn't even touch it! He of course HATES when I take it off because it's so sticky but otherwise I stick it on and off he goes to do his activity. I think if he had difficulty seeing in the "weak" eye he would object more but I think his brain is able to turn on the other eye immediately. So interesting!
How cute! I have to say, I'm a tad jealous that they didn't have all of those cool designs when I was wearing an eye patch as a kid. Just plain old beige - how boring!
wow you are so lucky he keeps it on! mayson would have NOTHING to do with them!!! he looks so cute!
